How much do coaches, managers and the committee get paid?
Nothing. We are all volunteers and we were here for the love of the game and the community. Our club wouldn’t exist if it were not for the amazing commitment of everyone involved.

How much does it cost to play?
There is a registration fee that is payable before the start of each season, and then a game fee which is payable before each game. The registration and game fees change slightly from one season to the next. The manager is responsible collecting and paying the game fees. For current fees, contact our treasurer at treasurer@morley-rockets.com for our current fees

What are the requirements in order to coach a team?
We love developing everyone involved in the club, whether it’s players or coaches. In order to ensure our players develop through their time in at the Morley Rockets, we insist on having our coaches becoming a minimum of level 0 as a coach. We will of course help our coaches acheive this.
We have a lot of young coaches and we love that young players want to take on that role. If a young coach is allocated to team, we strongly encourage and sometimes insist that there is an adult or parent assistant coach and manager
It is a requirement of the Western Australian Government for any coaches that do not have their own child in a team have a working with children card.
What does a team manager do in a team?
A manager is very important to the team. They typically take on all of the “off court” requirements allowing the coach to concerntraite training the players. The role can vary a little from team to team however at a minimum there is an expectation that a manager will do the following:
- Communicating the training and game times and locations to the team
- Be resposible for the team jersys (handing out at the beginning of each game and collecting at the end of each game)
- Collection and payment of game fees to from the players to the club
- Create a schedule for the scorers for the season and communicate with the team whose turn it is to score
It is not the job of the manager to score each game. There is an expectation that scoring is done by a parent each week. There will need to be a representation of each team on the scorers bench every week.
